Sun ‘News’ is at it again…
They never cease to amaze me.

Their so-called ‘reporting’ on the Robocalls scandal is pretty much sweeping it under the rug. I suppose that is because it is looking like the Conservative Party may have something to do with the scandal.

If it was the Liberal or NDP party, you can bet the issue would be front and center on Sun ‘News’ – with non-stop coverage, trashing all parties involved.

The argument against the NDP and Liberal parties would probably be correct in suggesting that it was a blatant miscarriage of justice – i.e. election fraud.

Have we not in the past, as Canadians, been called upon in other country’s elections to ensure that they are done fairly and prevent election fraud?

After seeing what appears to have happened in Canada, I would no longer ask for our help. We cannot seem to have fair elections ourselves.

And we have a so-called ‘news’ channel telling the public that it is not a big deal – and it is simply an issue made up by the opposition.

Meanwhile, there has allegedly been a major crime against democracy that has occurred. Election fraud is no joke. This is a serious issue and whoever was involved needs to be investigated and charged appropriately – no matter what party they are from – Conservative, Liberal, NDP, Green Party, Rhino party, etc…

Sun “News” is at it again but, this is really no surprise.

The lady on the Roundtable (I suppose that referring to her as simply a lady is ok because the other guy on the Roundtable referred to the guy he just interviewed as “the guy” – now, that is quality “news”) made a joke about the 7% of their viewers who did not agree with facial recognition technology to be used for…as Sun News puts it, “to capture war criminals”.

She made her joke and jab at Jack Layton (or anyone else who apparently does not agree with absolutely EVERYTHING Sun “News” promotes) by suggesting that the 7% who are against this technology must have been at Jack Layton’s funeral. Oh my, that is truly unbiased, hard facts, truly Canadian news. Thank goodness for this blessing called Sun “News”. I would not feel near as Canadian without them – lol.

As much as I really have no interest in watching this “news”, I really can’t help it because they just give me so much to talk about…so, keep it coming Sun “News”. I am sure it won’t be a problem!

Sun News – NOT! News, that is.

Have you seen the latest network in Canada claiming to be a News Network – Sun News Network to be specific.

If you have, you know what I am talking about.

If you haven’t heard of them, no need to worry about it. (Keep watching your closer to reality news.)

Why? Because they are not a NEWS network. They can use whatever word they want to describe themselves. Put simply, they are not news.

They are, more specifically, an opinion network with some news tidbits thrown in with their classic conservative spin.

Sound familiar? If you have heard of Fox News, then it probably does. 

We now have in Canada what the USA has been suffering through for years now - a media machine under the guise of a ‘straight talk, patriotic’ hard news channel whose real motive is to promote right wing Conservative views, while attempting to take down any other type of opinion or viewpoint. If you have seen coverage about Jack Layton’s funeral by a few of their anchor shows, then you know exactly what I mean. Ezra levant is one who cannot stop himself from trashing the NDP at this time of Jack Layton’s death. Let us remember, Ezra, that it was not the NDP, nor Jack Layton who asked for a state funeral. It was Stephen Harper who offered it. I have not heard you making much fuss about that fact. Surely, it cannot be related to the fact that Stephen Harper is a Conservative, can it?

The only reason I think that Ezra Levant is so eager and enthusiastic to trash the NDP is because he feels truly threatened by their popularity. Any NDP ideals would would not fit into Ezra’s Canada – one where every person matters and not just the ‘haves’.

At the end of the day, they can say what they wish as I will not argue against free speech but, they are certainly not news, nor are they unbiased.

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye!

My pocketbook and I will not miss you.

I want to watch some actual NEWS again. There are other things going on in the world… important things, I might add.

Instead we have to hear what Kate Middleton is wearing, how beautiful she is and what a fashion icon she is, and oh and let’s not forget just how PERFECT she is in every way.

I guess the media has decided that they will use her for ratings so…declaring her perfect is the way to do it.

I guarantee from now on (well actually from the day of the Royal Wedding) there will never be an unappealing picture of her in any newspaper or tv news show…just like Princess Diana…there was never a bad picture of her anywhere.

Just a note…everyone has a bad picture once in a while…no matter how gorgeous someone is - it could be as simple as a weird angle or a strange expression. And with the number of photos taken of these women….surely there is a not so appealing one out there somewhere…but, noone has ever seen or ever will see it. The media made sure of it with Princess Diana and will make sure of it with Princess Katherine.

To sum up, I am tired of the glorification of people who have basically done nothing in their lives but look good (and have enough money to do that) and be born in to the right family. I am not buying into it…or maybe I already have without consenting…by way of paying for the Canadian Royal tour through my tax dollars.
